The Aloha/Techno 293 Class web site is home to the latest information and news about competitive Junior windsurfing. Techno 293 recognised by ISAF Posted On: 11/13/2005 4:21:21 PM | The ISAF Council met in Singapore and approved the submission made by the Techno 293 Class to become a 'recognised' ISAF class.
"The Techno 293 Class is devoted to fostering the development of windsurf racing for competitors under the age of 17 around the world through the promotion of an inexpensive racing format."
The Techno 293 has the support of the IWA and its member classes Raceboard (IRC) Formula (IFWC) and Funboard (IFCA). Furthermore it is recognised as the 'first step' on the Olympic pathway - supporting the RSX class.
A new website for the class is being prepared, to replace the 'Aloha /Techno' site; and is expected to go live in early December. Full details of the class - including Class Rules and Approved Rigs list - and lots of new features will be included.
Plans are being finalised for the first Championship of the new class - scheduled for Marsala (Sicily) during the first week of August 2006.
