The Aloha/Techno 293 Class Association, an official IWA Junior Windsurfing Class, organising and promoting junior one-design windsurf racing across the world.

Techno update . . . Posted On: 12/26/2005 9:05:15 AM New website: Apologies for the delay with the new website, but it will be well worth the wait! We now expect to go live in early January. Rig news: The final list of approved rigs is now available (see attached plus Techno 293 Approved Rigs specs). However full details of the rig components (mast and boom) are not available with some sails (marked tbc). These will, however, be published when the new website goes live. The new website will carry full details of where the rigs can be purchased - country by country. One-Design board. There is still some confusion about which board to buy for racing in the T293 Class. Bic do produce two versions of the board - the 293 (school board) and 293 One Design (for racing). The 293 OD will come with a 46cm fin and 6 footstraps as standard. Please be sure to specify the One-Design version. Any problems? Please do not hesitate to contact the class if you have any questions or doubts about what to buy? or, What will be class legal? Invitation to Eilat Posted On: 12/7/2005 9:55:24 AM From 15 to 18 January 06 we are going to have ASA championships in Eilat, Israel. Usually a windy spot - eternel summer! Nice party town. (Notice of Race) The week before, the Israeli team and all Israeli sailors will be training on the site. We can help with some technical stuff. A big minim (u15) and juniors (u17)event (last year 100 alohas and 30 6.6) but everyone is invited. Contact me for any details. Yair Suari

Farewell to Aloha, bring on Techno 293! Posted On: 12/2/2005 9:28:13 AM The ALOHA is no longer registered with ISAF as a Recognised Class - the TECHNO 293 is a whole new beginning for junior windsurf racing. The new Techno 293 website is almost ready to go live - and on it you will find all the details about the new class, the 2006 Techno 293 Class Rules, and much more. Techno 293 recognised by ISAF Posted On: 11/13/2005 4:21:21 PM The ISAF Council met in Singapore and approved the submission made by the Techno 293 Class to become a 'recognised' ISAF class. ......( more )
